Welcome to SERENDIPITY, LLC, where passion meets purpose. I am Naomi Saito, the founder of SERENDIPITY and a seasoned interpreter with a deep commitment to making a positive impact on society.
My journey began as a Rotary Foundation scholar, where I honed my skills in speech communication at Pennsylvania State University. Upon returning to Japan, I transitioned from corporate in-house interpreting to embarking on a freelance career. Over the years, I have had the privilege of teaching as a simultaneous interpreting instructor at a prominent Tokyo institute, nurturing
the next generation of language professionals.
In 2020, I established SERENDIPITY, LLC, with a dual focus on revitalizing aging properties and addressing Japan’s vacant housing crisis. Through our innovative approach to AKIYA restoration, we are dedicated to tackling social issues like housing insecurity and revitalizing communities. Our projects not
only help AKIYA owners but also support socially disadvantaged tenants such as single mothers, people with disabilities, foreign residents, and senior citizens who are often turned down by landlords. Additionally, I have invested in an overseas project in Cambodia supporting IT education and further expanded myinvestment horizon in the Philippines.
With a portfolio that includes interpreting for prominent figures such as former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Yoshihide Suga, Jim Rodgers, Dr. Philip Kotler, and more, and facilitating business engagements on a global scale, I bring a wealthof experience and expertise to every project I undertake.
Join me on this journey as we weave together language, culture, and sustainability to create a brighter future for all.
June 7, 2024 Participated in FEW Japan Conference @Four Seasons Hotel, Tokyo to promote Women’s Empowerment/Diversity & Inclusion.
Before & After photos: Property in Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture. Witness the miraculous transformation from a cluttered hoarder’s den to a stunningly refurbished space. Once overflowing with debris, the property underwent comprehensive renovation and emerged as a luxurious interior reminiscent of a high-end hotel. The remarkable interior decoration was designed by an incredible tenant who has since become my business partner, specializing in interior decoration for vacation rental properties.
The property in Kanagawa Prefecture had no water pipes! Reviving a neglected property that left many investors hesitant after viewing, this over 50-year-old structure underwent a complete overhaul of its exterior, roof, and interiors. Upon purchase, it was discovered to have a dire lack of plumbing, rendering the property in an infrastructurally disastrous state. Despite the initial estimate exceeding ¥6,000,000, the renovation costs were slashed by half, transforming this highly challenging infrastructure disaster into a success story.
